This team is responsible providing timely and accurate financial reporting and information to the Chief Executive, the Authority and Executive team that contributes to robust and well-informed decision-making. Key Accountabilities: » Lead and manage the month end ledger close, monthly reporting and report development processes, including Authority reports and cost centre reporting for three separate businesses. » Complete the statutory reporting including the financial portion of the Ministerial quarterly reports, annual CFIS return to the Treasury, and other Crown and regulatory reporting requirements including OBU, MBU, select committee enquiries, and Official Information requests. » Maintain an up-to-date expert knowledge of NZ IFRS and IPSAS standards and requirements. » Maintain an up to date expert knowledge of taxation and other legislative requirements that impact on financial reporting and compliance. » prosperous completion of the financial portion of Annual Report to statutory and audit timetables. » Monitor everyday cashflow, and maintain cashflow forecast to ensure that the entity maximise its use of cashflow and return on investments in conformity with Treasury and Funding Policy and Reserve Policy. practice and Qualifications Requirements: » significant Accounting/Finance tertiary qualification. » Chartered Accountant (or equivalent qualification recognised by CAANZ). » Previous practice managing teamwork flow. » An knowledge of best practice accounting and financial practices. » Previous senior financial accounting practice. » practice developing and implementing business process improvements.
