It's an icon of T?maki Makaurau independent media that has been a leader in New Zealand music, news, and culture for more than fifty years. We're proud to be a part of the Student Radio Network, alongside New Zealand's four other student radio stations: Radio Active 88.6FM (Wellington), Radio Control 99.4FM (Palmerston North), Radio One 91FM (Dunedin), and RDU 98.5FM (Christchurch).95bFM has recently received a grant from the Ministry of Culture & Heritage, giving us the opportunity to develop a plan to rejuvenate our volunteer programme. From on-air to administration, 95bFM is run by our team of over-150 volunteers, but the effects of COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions have revealed issues with our programme we're seeking to remedy. Creating new strategies to support and develop our volunteering programme, and implementing these across the SRN network, will help to secure the future of independent broadcasting in Aotearoa. We're looking for someone to join our team who can work with us and our sister-stations in the SRN to develop a next generation volunteering strategy which can be used across our network. Somebody with an knowledge of Aotearoa's proud history of independent radio, and the needs of our diverse community. Somebody who knows the value, drive, and potential of the volunteers who make student radio what Information technology is. We're looking for someone who's keen to join a great team and contribute to the legacy of 95bFM and the SRN. As our new Volunteer Development Project Coordinator you will: » Rendezvous with SRN stations to establish current volunteer programme resourcing » W?nanga with SRN management to identify priorities for a new volunteering resource hub » Consult with stakeholders, established volunteer organisations, and M?ori cultural sector leaders » Develop training resources and templates for inductions » Coordinate with SRN alumni to initiate mentorship programmes for current volunteers » Design the Digital Capcapability Resource Hub And more!
