More information aboutGrowing Up in New Zealandis available atwww.growingup.co.nz The opportunity This is a newly created function that will support the General Manager of GUiNZ to operationalise research plans and other key study priorities using innovative strategies and leading a field operations team of around 60 staff. You will be an practiced Operations Manager used to the design and delivery complex projects. Ideally you will have managed active field teams in virtual and remote settings and have an appreciation of ensuring your team's personal safety going into the community and homes to meet with participants. Key responsibilities include but not limited to: » Provide leadership abilities in the design and development of strategies and plans, and the execution of data collections waves to a diverse cohort which is aligned to research objectives and other study plans. » Lead a culturally diverse team and align operations approaches to areas of focus for the study. » Demonstrate a commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and an knowledge of its relevance and the opportunities Information technology brings to the field and wider operational context. » Manage the day-to-day operations of the field staff to ensure smooth and high-quality delivery of the study operations and programmes. » supervise field operations budgeting, financial management and reporting of project performance. » Continuous improvement to ensure appropriate quality assurance systems in place across all aspects of field operations. » Manage the complexities of staff health, safety and well-being for a team interacting in community and home settings. » Develop and maintain key strategic and operational relationships with key stakeholders. Your expertise and practice: It is essential for you to hold: » A professional tertiary qualification. » Minimum of 5+ years' practice in a similar research/Operations Manager function » Demonstrated practice in leading high performing operational teams » Proven practice in developing strategic partnerships and stakeholder relationships » Outstanding operational planning and practice management » practice in business planning, financial management, resource allocation and performance monitoring process » Knowledge or practice of working in community project with participants. » Good and effective communication expertise and strong interpersonal expertise. » The capability to be organised, handle a high-level workload and calm under pressure.
