Director

• Fixed Term / Secondment to end of June 2025

The Director is accountable for improving priority client results by leading the design and development of new service design and service models, as well as leading the implementation and continuing support of new and/or updated initiatives.
This position is a senior leadership abilities function with responsibility for managing and leading priority initiatives which seek to improve results for New Zealanders.
This position is also responsible for ensuring that the implementation of those initiatives is prioritised and resourced appropriately to ensure effective delivery of services and improved results for clients.
You will need:
We are seeking for an innovative senior leader, with practice leading within large scale service transformation programmes within the public sector.
This is a once in a generation opportunity to change the way we deliver our services, and to have a significant impact of the lives of New Zealanders.
You will be instrumental in developing and implementing a new operating model for MSD.
You will also provide strategic leadership abilities and guidance at the executive level across the transformation, and in supporting the Group General Manager responsible for Service practice.
As a key influencer, you'll play an essential function in guiding common goals and shared results and proactively manage constructive relationships, internally and externally.
We are seeking for a candidate who will bring:
• Significant practice working within a complex transformation programme
• Significant professional knowledge in the design and implementation of new operating models and services within a large and complex organisation
• An practiced leader with a proven record of effectively leading teams in a complex and demanding environment
• Comprehensive practice at a senior level in the design and implementation of policy and service delivery initiatives, and knowledge of the machinery of government
• An knowledge of equity issues and the Treaty of Waitangi, and the implications of these for the work of MSD

income range: $138,378.00 – $205,566.00
