About you
Are you an practiced senior leader who wants to influence the wellbeing of Aotearoa? Are you strategic, innovative and delivery focused? Can you build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders? This could be the function for you.
We are seeking for a smart, inquisitive and agile leader to join us to help us deliver our exciting work programme. You'll have strong people leadership abilities practice and a passion for the social sector.
About the function
As a member of our Executive leadership abilities Team you'll be collaborating to strategically lead the agency and build a strong and inclusive culture. You'll lead high performing teams of specialists to deliver quality policy advice, insights, tools and practices for the social sector to improve results for New Zealanders. You'll be trusted to work autonomously to deliver our ambitious and interesting work programme, with an eye for continuous improvement. You'll work collectively alongside other social sector policy and data teams to deliver advice that delivers long term, sustainable improvements for New Zealanders. And lastly, you will build strong relationships with our key stakeholders across government, NGOs, Iwi, and data organisations.
Who are we?
We work on behalf of the social sector, taking a cross-sector view to give advice and help on issues that do not fit neatly into the work of any single agency and support a joined up social sector. We support the sector's capcapability to utilise insights by creating tools and practices that stimulate innovation and work with decision-makers to take insights and apply them.
What We are seeking for:
To be prosperous you'll have:
   » Senior leadership abilities practice developing and implementing organisational strategy.
   » Significant practice in policy and/or data, with a deep knowledge of the function data, research and evaluation, analytics and tools can play in informing decisions and policy.
   » Demonstrated practice in leading high performing multi-disciplinary teams in environments with diverse stakeholders, preferably in the social sector.
   » Demonstrated practice in organisational leadership abilities at a senior level, including strategy, team management, financial management and project management.
   » Proven practice managing complex stakeholder partnerships/relationships at a senior level.
   » Demonstrated knowledge of meeting and supporting the obligations and intent of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Competency with Te Ao M?ori and Te Reo M?ori is desirable.
   » Political acumen and an capability to work with Ministers.
