The opportunity:
Do you want to be part of the biggest inhouse Information technology shop in the country? Working in an Agile environment we are continuing our journey and are actively promoting agility right all over the Ministry of Social Development.
To enable the Ministry to better help New Zealanders who need our support, we are experiencing rapid growth in our Information technology area to ensure solutions can be delivered to our front line and our clients quickly.
About the function:
We have great opportunities in our Wellington and Auckland office, for Business Analysts at all stages of their career.
As a Senior Business Analysts, you will work across the Information technology Group and with vendors to ensure that all activity across the system development life cycle is co-ordinated and focused on value delivery and post-production support.
Key Job responsibilities:
   » play an active part as a member of an Agile Standing Team
   » work closely with business owners to develop requirements to inform our strategy and roadmaps as well as focusing on delivery to execute our vision
   » work with business owners and other Information technology stakeholders to develop Features
   » work with business owners and other Information technology stakeholders to develop user stories and help manage the delivery of these stories through the SDLC
   » provide advice on prioritisation to the team
   » work with other Information technology teams to deliver features into Production
   » manage incidents and problems occurring in applications in your domain
   » support and mentor your colleagues
   » help grow the business' knowledge of Agile delivery
   » actively participate and contribute to the team culture
   » manage interactions with external partners professionally and diplomatically

Workflow and Integration – Data Cache (1 position)
   » integration practice
   » knowledge of API's, JSON, SOAP message structures and database principles

Workflow and Integration - Internal and External Integration Platforms (2 positions)

   » previous API practice would be an advantage
Workflow and Integration - Workflow Platforms (1 position)
   » previous practice with IBM BPM or ODM would be an advantage
Rapid Deployment - Rapid Platforms (1 position)
   » previous practice with Oracle APEX would be an advantage
Corporate - Financial Systems (1 position)
   » FMIS knowledge with be an advantage but not essential
Software Delivery Platforms (2 positions)
   » knowledge of our core Curam CMS system would be an advantage
Knowledge- Document and CorrespondenceManagement(2 positions)
   » background in developing and structuring the backlog for document management or correspondence management applications
   » practice in migrating organisations between platforms and establishing capabilities on these platforms
Knowledge – External Websites(1 position)
   » customer-practice focused
   » background in developing and managing on-line forms
Partner Self Service (1 postion)
   » knowledge of our legacy Oranga Tamariki Applications would be an advantage.
