This is an opportunity to shape a new way of working with culturally grounded solutions and innovations that support our H?kai Rangi strategy and direction toward transformational change for the criminal justice system – one that builds on the good things that are already happening, and, most importantly, innovates to find new ways of doing things to achieve better results for M?ori, wh?nau and communities. M?ori Pathways – Hawkes Bay is one of two key trial areas for the four year programme which has been co-designed with wh?nau, iwi, hap? M?ori; external organisations and individuals independent of Ara Poutama Aotearoa. This is a unique opportunity which will see you making differences in the lives of the t?ne you will work with, as well as their families. M?u | About you located in Hawkes Bay, this key leadership abilities function will be a ?connector’ of our business, supporting and facilitating critical planning to implement and deliver on our strategic results, and drive the delivery of change. You will bring your innovative thinking, relationship management expertise, with the capability to lead in your space, influence and socialise the benefits of M?ori Pathways. Alternatively, this function can be worked remotely but will require travel to Hawkes Bay (Covid travel permitting) and would be 3 days/2 night blocks once per month. Travel and accommodation will be provided. About the functions | M? te t?nga The M?ori Pathways Programme supports the Corrections system to be more effective by using a kaupapa M?ori and wh?nau-centred approach. Information technology includes a range of initiatives to lower the proportion of M?ori in the Corrections system and is part of the H?kai Rangi strategy direction. The Change Manager is responsible for planning, leading and facilitating change management activities to support staff for and embed change resulting from the Hawkes Bay Pathway Project. » Leading and facilitating a collaborative and consistent approach to change management across the Hawkes Bay Pathway » Building ownership and capcapability of staff in Hawkes Bay Pathway leading the change readiness assessment for the Hawkes Bay Pathway » Supporting the development of stakeholder messages and communication materials as needed » Working closely with the pathway, facilitating and conducting consultation to ensure appropriate engagement with the change initiatives and commitment to change plans and activities » Supporting the Manager Hawkes Bay Pathway to ensure planning, reporting and benefits realisation requirements are aligned with the pathways » Defining and managing quality for Hawkes Bay Pathways deliverables, in a Kaupapa M?ori context » Identifying and managing business risk and escalate these as appropriate » Providing support to the Manager Hawkes Bay Pathways and subject matter experts » Identifying the impacts on Hawkes Bay Pathway from other business processes, projects, programmes and providing solutions » Developing and maintaining positive and collaborative working relationships with Iwi Partners (Ng?ti Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated) and stakeholders (including providers, unions and operational management) and significant external relationships and networks. A demonstrated knowledge of tikanga and knowledge of Te Reo would also be an advantage. this function is well suited for someone who can confidently advocate for change, is self-motivated, energetic and can thrive in a very fast-paced and changing environment. COVID-19 vaccination requirements All employees of Ara Poutama Aotearoa are required to be fully-vaccinated against COVID-19. As this function works within our Regional Office you will need to be fully-vaccinated by April 28 2022.
