Working at the Department of Internal Affairs, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of New Zealanders.
Ministerial Services and Secretariat Support sits within Information and expertise Services, a business unit responsible for providing a range of services to the executive arm of government (VIP Transport, managing official visits to New Zealand), as well as support and advisory functions to bodies such as the Gambling Commission.
The Personal adjunct provides secretarial and administrative support services to the General Manager MaSS. The function is responsible for ensuring all administrative matters are dealt with promptly, efficiently and effectively. The Personal adjunct maintains effective working relationships with key business group stakeholders to support the work of the GM MaSS.
The prosperous candidate will have:
· Demonstrated practice in providing efficient and effective personal assistance support.
· practice in Microsoft Office applications
· expertise of planning and reporting processes
· Proficiency in working with financial systems and information.
· Strong interpersonal expertise along with initiative, flexibility and the capability to be proactive.
· Detailed focus with the capability to anticipate risks and the consequences of decisions and commitments.
· capability to respond to correspondence in an appropriate and timely manner
· Necessary judgement exercised and effective decision making when conflicting priorities arise for the GM
