Working at Te Tari Taiwhenua – Department of Internal Affairs, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of New Zealanders.
We are pursuing a Team Leader, Operational Policy to join us for a 12-month fixed term. You will be part of Gambling Group in the Policy, Regulatory and Communities Branch, and will to contribute to supporting the safety, wellbeing and success of New Zealand communities.
As one of Government’s larger regulators, Regulatory Services supervises three key regulatory systems: anti-money laundering and countering financing terrorism (AML/CFT), gambling, and digital safety. We are a risk-located regulator that uses innovation and collaboration to maximise impact and achieve desired results for New Zealand communities.
The Team Leader, Operational Policy will provide professional and technical leadership abilities of a team of five to deliver the development and provision of quality operational policy advice, products and operating procedures for the Gambling group.
To be prosperous in this function you must have:
   » practice and knowledge of regulatory concepts and functions, knowledge of government structures and processes, and the capability to adapt and innovate.
   » practice developing and delivering operational policy advice and operating procedures
   » Proven practice in leading an operational policy or policy team to deliver timely and quality products / information
