Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission leads the public sector to make a positive difference for New Zealand and New Zealanders.
The function of Chief Advisor is to provide strategic advice and work programme support to the Deputy Public Service Commissioner / Deputy Commissioner leadership abilities, Diversity and Inclusion. They will engage with both internal and external stakeholders to advise and deliver on the Commission's strategic priorities for the public service. The function requires strong thought leadership abilities and the capability to advise on areas related to the M?ori-Crown relationship, diversity, inclusion, and leadership abilities capcapability.
The leadership abilities, Diversity and Inclusion group has an ambitious work programme, working alongside public service leaders and partner agencies, which requires us to take a measured and deliberate approach to focus on the things that matter most, and enables us to draw on and share best practice and capcapability across the system.
The Chief Advisor will contribute to a high performing management team and be an active collaborator on various projects and pieces of work across the Commission. They will be able to apply research, academic knowledge, and an knowledge of the wider political context to provide advice and solutions for the system. this function will suit someone who is agile, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and wants to contribute to significant change and better results for those in Aotearoa.

This position usually pays between $154,960 to $203,385 depending on expertise and practice.
