The opportunity
MSD is about to embark on a journey of re-imagining and re-platforming its external websites, intranet, and front-line expertise bases. We are seeking for a Developer who has a strong background in software development ideally with a tertiary degree in Software Engineering and proven track record of delivering high quality code.
expertise and Requirements:
   » practice with the following supporting technologies – J2EE, Java, XML, Rest Webservices, React/Bootstrap, AJAX, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML, Hibernate, CSS and Spring.
   » practice with Web Content Management systems platforms like Silverstripe, Drupal etc.
   » practice with Code Management Tools within Web Content Management systems.
   » A strong working expertise of version control systems like Bitbucket, Subversion or GIT.
   » Basic expertise of SQL.
   » Maintain high-quality code, unit test coverage and follow review practices.
   » practice with agile software development methodologies and use of tools like JIRA, and Confluence (or similar tools).
   » The following expertise are also desirable.
   » practice with search platforms, ideally FunnelBack and SOLR.
   » practice with TeamSite.
   » practice in continuous integration using Jenkins for builds, code coverage, running test.
   » practice with web servers (Tomcat) and application servers (WebLogic).
   » Cloud Computing with AWS/AZURE.
   » LDAP.
