Senior Advisor – E T? Wh?nau

   » Interested in Tiriti-located approaches to promoting wellbeing and eliminating violence within wh?nau M?ori and former refugee and recent migrant h?pori?
   » With applied quantitative and qualitative research and evaluation skills?
   » Who is interested to be a part of a dynamic and diverse Kaupapa M?ori r?pu within government?
In our mahi, we work together with wh?nau and h?pori, through whakawhanaungatanga and true co-creation, to achieve sustainable, intergenerational wellbeing and eliminate violence.
We are seeking for the right person to join the E T? Wh?nau r?pu.
You may be an practiced advisor in a research and evaluation function, or Somebody with some applied research and evaluation skills seeking to grow their skills. The function involves working collaboratively to develop qualitative and quantitative Kaupapa M?ori and cross-cultural research and evaluation products, in partnership with wh?nau, h?pori, our r?pu, and other stakeholders.
Key functions include:
   » Supporting the delivery of our Mahere Rautaki - Rangahau me te Arotake (research and evaluation strategy) in collaboration with others.
   » Developing evidence, tools, and expertise to support wellbeing for wh?nau, hap?, iwi and h?pori.
   » Providing or building subject matter skills to support the success of community-led initiatives.
   » Building positive working relationships with contractors, wh?nau, h?pori, and internal and external stakeholders.
   » Providing high quality analysis, advice, reports, and other research and evaluation products for key internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
   » Leading and contributing to work on both internal and cross government priorities, including within strategy and policy contexts.
We are seeking for a true team player who can work collaboratively and be coached into high performance to achieve excellence. You will need to have expertise, skills, and some practice in applied qualitative and quantitative research methodologies (social sciences, health, psychology, etc.) and an interest Kaupapa M?ori approaches. You will also be expected to have strong strategic and critical thinking skills.
candidates should have strong expertise of Te Ao M?ori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the lives of marginalised communities within Aotearoa. candidates with a degree of proficiency in Te reo M?ori will be preferred.
You will also be able to demonstrate your capability to develop practical solutions for complex problems with a focus on getting the job done! To ensure the effectiveness of this function, some travel will be required.

income range: $94,834.00 – $115,908.00
