Scenario: The primary function of this function is to ensure that the company's automation processes and systems are maintained, supported, delivered and developed across all their site operations. Job responsibilities: Included in the responsibilities is end-to-end project management of all aspects of their automation environment. This includes working with key stakeholders planning and tracking deliverables, documentation of requirements, delivering implementations of automation software. In addition, during your support of all aspects of automation, you will be required to assess and advise on process improvement, and be the key contact point for all users of this technology and enhance their practice. Criteria: The emphasis of this function will be your technical capability but equally important will be your capability to communicate with key stakeholders both verbally and written, plus being able to work in a highly developed team environment and be able to ?connect? with internal stakeholders and external service providers as to what the automation systems can deliver. Technical and ?Soft? expertise: We're after someone who is an practiced Automation Technician with a verifiable track record of success. Essential expertise are: » Strong expertise in PLC automation (eg ladder) » SCADA and HMI as your foundation » Proven problem solving expertise » capability to create documentation that is easy to understand » Excellent people expertise with the capability to communicate top to bottom » Top communication expertise to those less technically aware » Team and individual comms capcapability Because of the critical nature of the function, you will need to have a flexible approach to work as there is likely to be extended hours and potentially weekend work. advantages: This is a newly created function where you can influence and enhance this aspect of technology in a company already leading their sector in the technology space.
