Background
With continued growth this high-profile organisation is building a new satellite site to house its logistics operations and some of its highly technical clinical activities. The base build is underway, and construction has started with the first phase of the build due for completion mid-2023 and the second longer phase due for completion mid-2024, followed by a commissioning phase which could take up to six months to complete. Contract Need A seasoned senior Project Manager or Programme Manager is needed client side to supervise the building phases and contact with the primary contractor and other Project Managers, with the initial focus on ensuring that specifications, schedule, and budget are right. You will engage with multiple internal and external stakeholders including construction contractors and international consultants on design and global best practice. The contract is anticipated to be for a two-year period with an initial 12-month contract term plus a further contracted 12 months. practice sought Ideally you will have practice building a GMP manufacturing facility such as pharmaceutical or dietary supplements environments with laboratories and clean rooms. practice could include delivering complex healthcare projects or other complex regulated environments, and you will have proven commercial construction management or project management practice, including project commissioning. You will have a strong knowledge of New Zealand building regulations and legislation, and hold significant tertiary and/or trade qualifications, and project management qualifications.
