These are exciting opportunities to work with a well-established company who are passionate about their people and offer genuine career progression and development. Job Location: Gisborne Employment type: Full time /Permanent Days Required: Monday to Friday. Maybe occasionally required to work on weekends. Hours per week: Minimum of 30 hours per week from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm Hourly rate: $26.69 to $29.00 depending on experience. Job Description » Taking Measurements » Assisting carpenters and hammer hands on daily site tasks » Loading and unloading construction materials, tools, and equipment » Managing on-site materials » Erecting and dismantling temporary structures » Using power tools and machinery when needed » Putting up warning signs for vehicles and passers-by » Helping with setting up and transferring temporary structures » Other general labouring roles as required. » Maybe occasionally required to travel to other locations to work on landmark projects across New Zealand Job pre-requisites » Experience in construction, would be an advantage (not a must as we will provide training) » Be comfortable using power tools. » Having a strong work ethic, good communication skills, and presentable appearance » Hard-working, punctual, and a positive "can do" attitude. » Be physically fit. » Have willingness to learn. » Be confident working autonomously, and Health & Safety conscious. Flexibility to work in different sites & ability to work extra hours when required. » Clean driver's License & reliable transport » Clean police records and ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests. » Have valid NZ open work permit.
