Survivor practices Service
Te Tari Taiwhenua will provide continued support to survivors of abuse in care through the Survivor practices Service from July 2023, following the closure of the survivor registrations and private sessions services delivered by the Abuse in Care Royal Commission of Inquiry.
The Survivor practices Service will provide a safe, supportive, confidential place for survivors to share their practices of abuse in care, to support healing.
Te Tari Taiwhenua will house and support the Service, which will be supervisen by an independent board.
Survivor practices shared with the service can be brought together to deepen knowledge of abuse in care and how to prevent it. In sharing their practices, survivors may also be referred to other services.
The Service will run from July 2023 through to the introduction of a new, permanent redress system in 2025.
Principal Advisor, Engagement Delivery
As the Principal Advisor Engagement Delivery, you will work expertly within the Engagement and Communications team to provide technical advice, and lead team-wideinitiatives. You will supervise the most complex strategy & performance issues and assignments and coordinate several team processes. The function will also act as a trusted partner for managers within the Survivor practices Service and provide leadership abilities for kaimahi within the Communications and Engagement team.
To be prosperous in this function you will have:
   » An broad and prosperous track record in designing strategic delivery plans that support effective engagement results
   » An excellent knowledge of delivery frameworks and practice models that encompass core values of engagement principles
   » In-depth knowledge of how to implement systems and processes that will support the overall delivery of engagement plans
   » An knowledge of Te Reo me ?na Tikanga, Pacific Cultures, Discapability and deaf peoples and vulnerable communities
   » Strong problem solving and creative thinking expertise with sound judgement and an attuned risk radar to enable effective results
You'll be joining a team passionate about supporting survivors of trauma from abuse in care. This is a new function giving you the capability to help shape the engagement and communications function to meet the needs of survivors. You will also provide insights into the service to help guide the development of the service to ensure Information technology is best meeting the needs of survivors.
